Big changes are coming to our community’s favorite online radio station and website, 389 Country. Starting Monday, August 4th, 389 Country will officially relaunch as The Mountain Buzz, bringing a fresh sound and expanded coverage to listeners across the tri-state area.

With the relaunch, The Mountain Buzz is broadening its news and sports reporting to include Clay and Cherokee counties in North Carolina, as well as Towns and Union counties in Georgia. Whether it’s local high school games or community events, you can count on The Mountain Buzz to keep you informed.

On the airwaves, the station is switching gears with a new genre: hits of the decades. From classic rock to pop anthems, The Mountain Buzz promises a nostalgic playlist that spans generations. The station will welcome new hosts, including Cort and Gordon Cooper, who are set to bring their unique energy to the mic. Meanwhile, fan favorites like the John and Heidi Show and John Rabold will continue to deliver the charm and connection listeners love.
