A flood of threes lead Hayesville to easy win

In Friday's home outing, the Hayesville Yellowjackets (Hayesville, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Highlands Highlanders (Highlands, NC), by a margin of 70-20.

Hayesville opened the game with a strong 26-point effort in the first quarter. An astonishing 24 of those points came via 3-pointers from five different Yellow Jacket shooters.

The first quarter set the tone and Hayesville never looked back as they cruised to a 50-point victory.

The Yellowjackets (2-1) will now prepare for their home game against Murphy on Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m. The Bulldogs enter The Hive with a 2-2 record. In their last outing, Murphy smashed Hiwassee Dam 77-49.
