JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Atlanta Braves’ outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. went 1-for-3 with a double in his first rehab game with Gwinnett, but the Stripers (5-8) suffered their third straight shutout loss in a 2-0 defeat to the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (6-7) on Tuesday night at 121 Financial Ballpark.

Decisive Play: Jumbo Shrimp catcher Nick Fortes ended a scoreless deadlock in the sixth inning with a two-out, two-run single off Seth Elledge (L, 0-1).

Key Contributors: Justin Dean, Acuña’s defensive replacement in right field, tallied two outfield assists to help keep the deficit at 2-0. Starter Connor Johnstone fired 5.0 scoreless, one-hit innings in a no-decision. Preston Tucker and Delino DeShields Jr. also had hits for the Stripers.

Noteworthy: The Stripers have not scored a run in their last 27 innings dating back to William Contreras’s game-winning RBI double in the eighth inning on Friday vs. Nashville. The game was Gwinnett’s first ever in the state of Florida.
