Additional Elected Officials To Attend Annual GOP Picnic

Well, folks, it's getting "bigger and better" for the Annual Clay County Republican Party Fall Picnic and Candidate Rally on Saturday, September 16th, at 12:00 Noon, at the Lions Club Pavilion on Lake Chatuge in the Clay County Recreation Park off Myers Chapel Road.

In addition to previously announced appearances by U.S. 11th District Representative Chuck Edwards and his primary challenger, Christian Reagan, State Senator Kevin Corbin will join them and NC House Rep. Karl Gillespie at the event.

And we have just learned that Dale Folwell, current GOP NC State Treasurer & GOP Candidate for Governor will also attend.

For the Picnic, the Clay GOP will provide hamburgers and hotdogs with all the fixins' (attendees are encouraged to bring side dishes, snacks, and desserts to share). Food will be served around 1:00 PM, followed by candidates' remarks at 2:00 PM. Once again, we'll have a "Silent Auction" with merchandise and services donated by local business for attendees to bid on. All proceeds go to support our new HQ and activities of the Clay GOP in the upcoming election (so please bring your checkbook and bid early and often!).

Other Republican office holders such as County Commissioners, Clerk of Court, Register of Deeds, and Sheriff are also expected.
