Annual first responders' softball game pits S.O. against F.D.

On Saturday, May 21, the Clay County Sheriff's Office and the Clay County Fire Department gathered at the Clay County Recreation Center for their annual softball game.
Along with a chance for a little friendly competition, this year's game was also a fundraiser benefiting the North Carolina Special Olympics.
The Sheriff's Office thanked everyone who played and the grilling masters who fed the teams. Score was unknown at the time of writing, but the winner was the Special Olympics.
