AUGUST GOP MEETING TO FEATURE“APPALACHIAN CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP COUNCIL ” PROJECT FOR YOUTH BIBLE STUDY

The Clay County Republican Party will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday evening, August 15, 2024, upstairs in the Community Services Building at 6:30 pm.  The meeting is open to all Clay County Republicans and Unaffiliated voters.  Light refreshments, snacks, and desserts will begin the evening, and attendees are encouraged to bring a covered dish, snack, or dessert to share. The business meeting will follow at 7:00 PM.

Featured program:  Did you know there is a non-profit organization serving Clay, Cherokee, Towns and Union counties whose focus is to establish and operate released-time Bible education for public school students across these four counties?  Intrigued?

Well, join us Thursday evening as we hear from Appalachian Christian Leadership Council which has taken the lead on bringing these voluntary credit courses to students free of charge.  These classes are held during the regular school day in off -campus settings. Many of these programs currently exist across the country, including in Fannin, Gilmer, and White counties in North Georgia.

Given today's highly secular culture and the Democrats' push of "all things 'woke'" into all facets of public and private life, this is a critical undertaking that deserves our help in combating the continuing " woke indoctrination" of our children.

Please join us for this informative presentation and stay up to date with current events in the community.

The Community Services Building is located at 25 Riverside Drive, Hayesville, NC. 28904.
