Back to School Nickel Night at Tri-County Racetrack Pushed Back to August 12 Due to Impending Storms

Tri County Racetrack
Press Release
With the high probability of afternoon thunderstorms and more rain through the early evening hours, promoter Ray Cook has made the difficult decision to postpone tonight's Back to School Nickel Night at Tri-County Race Track until next Friday, August 12.
The same exact show will be held next Friday at the Brasstown, North Carolina dirt oval, which includes a complete weekly program for all regular classes plus the make-up features for the 602 Late Model, Open Wheel Modified, Street Stock, and FWD divisions from a July 28 rain out. During intermission, a whopping 10,000 nickels will be spread out over the front stretch for kids to find and keep - all courtesy of Michael's Concrete Finishing.
With so much racing action on tap, all times have been moved up one hour on August 12. The pit gates will open at 3:00pm, grandstands will open at 4:00pm, Drivers Meeting is scheduled for 6:00pm, and cars will take to the track starting at 6:30pm.
Adult admission is only $10.00 into the stands and $35.00 into the pit area. Kids ages 11-16 will be admitted into the grandstands for $5.00 and into the pits for $20.00. As always, children ages 10 and under will be allowed onto the grounds for FREE. Senior citizens will also receive a $3.00 discount at the front gate. We look forward to seeing you at the "Tiger Pit" next Friday, August 12.
