Braves Get Past Mountain Lions

The Young Harris College men's basketball team fell 52-73 in a conference matchup against the University of North Carolina Pembroke Saturday (Dec. 16) afternoon at English E. Jones Center. The Mountain Lions fall to 6-4 overall and 2-1 in Conference Carolinas while the Braves improve to 8-3 and 3-0. 

Young Harris returns to action Tuesday, December 19th with a 3 p.m. non-conference game against Wingate University in Wingate, North Carolina. 


  • Eden Davis led YHC with 24 points and was 12-14 at the free throw line. 

  • Carl Cleveland added nine points, and Turahn Thompson scored eight. 

  • Cleveland and Cameron Bleshoy recorded four rebounds each, while Thompson, Nate Dunlap, and Morgan Rashed had three apiece.

  • UNCP had four players to score double-digit points. 

  • The Mountain Lions shot 74.1% (20-27) at the free throw line.
