Carl Cleveland Named 2024 First-Team All-Conference

Carl Cleveland of the Young Harris College men's basketball team had a remarkable 2023-24 campaign for the Mountain Lions. Cleveland dominated in rebounding and scoring this season, after coming off a season-ending injury that kept him out of the lineup in the 2022-23 season. The Sophomore 6-5 Forward out of Commerce, Georgia was named to the men's basketball First-Team All-Conference Carolinas team this week. Young Harris finished the season with a 17-12 overall record and made the Conference Carolinas Tournament in their first season as part of the Conference.

• Cleveland started all 29 games for the Mountain Lions and led the team in total minutes played with 927, averaging 32 minutes per game. 

• Led the team in points scored, with 512, which was over 100 points more than the next closest player, while also averaging 17.7 PPG. 

• He also led the team in rebounds, with 225, averaging 7.8 RPG. 

• Cleveland scored a season-high 33 points against Francis Marion and added 10 rebounds for one of his many double-double performances in the 2023-24 season. 

• He also added 61 assists (second on the team), 15 steals, and five blocks.
