Catamount Men’s Basketball Home Game Times Announced

Game times for Western Carolina men’s basketball home dates were announced today by WCU athletics. The 15-game home slate features eight afternoon starts, six evening games, and the first-ever Education Day contest at a men’s basketball game.
Season tickets for Catamount basketball are on sale now and include a $101 All-Hoops General Admission Season Ticket good for every home men's and women's basketball game. Single-game tickets for all men’s and women’s basketball home games at Ingles Court in the Ramsey Center will go on sale this Thursday (Oct. 12) at 9 a.m. To purchase tickets, visit the Catamount Ticket Office in the Ramsey Center or call 828-227-2401. Ticket office hours are Monday - Friday from 9 am – 5 pm. You can also purchase tickets online by visiting CatamountSports.com/BuyTickets.
The first look at the 2023-24 Western Carolina men's and women's basketball teams is Tuesday, Oct. 24, as Catamount Basketball presents: A Night in the Whee, brought to you by Prospect Cullowhee. Ramsey Center doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the event starting at 7 p.m. It's the first chance to meet both basketball teams and coaches. WCU students will have an opportunity to win great prizes throughout the night and a few lucky students will be able to compete alongside Catamount student-athletes.
Both the home slate and the regular season begin on Tuesday, Nov. 7 against Dalton State at 7 p.m. on Ingles Court at the Ramsey Center. A pair of 4 p.m. contests follow in the month against McNeese State on Saturday, Nov. 18, and against North Alabama on Sunday, Nov. 26 as part of a three-team multi-team event (MTE).
A hoops doubleheader against mountain rival UNC Asheville takes place on Saturday, Dec. 9 as the Catamounts host the reigning Big South Champions at 4 p.m. in Cullowhee. The WCU women follow against the UNCA Bulldogs at 7 p.m.
The first-ever men’s basketball Education Day game comes on Thursday, Dec. 21 at 11:30 a.m. against Brescia. The Catamounts conclude the nonconference portion of the schedule against King University on Dec. 30 at 4 p.m. in the backend of a Catamount hoops doubleheader with the women’s team.
The 2024 home schedule starts on Saturday, Jan. 6 against Wofford at 4 p.m. A pair of Wednesday night conference matchups follow against Samford on Jan. 17 and UNCG on Jan. 24 with 7 p.m. start times. A four-game homestand continues against VMI on Jan. 27 at 5 p.m. in the second game of a doubleheader as the women’s team faces Chattanooga earlier in the day before the men close out the month against Chattanooga on Jan. 31 at 7 p.m.
WCU tips off a slate of four February home dates against The Citadel on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. A pair of Saturday 4 p.m. starts follow by visits from Mercer on Feb. 10 and ETSU on Feb. 17. The ETSU contest is the lead game of a doubleheader with the women’s squad, who faces Samford in the second game. WCU’s final regular season home game is scheduled for Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. against chromatic rival Furman.
All regular-season Catamount basketball home games on Ingles Court at the Ramsey Center will be streamed either on ESPN3 or ESPN+ with live audio coverage through the Catamount Sports Network (CSN) available for each game. Once again this season, WCU Athletics adheres to a clear bag policy for all home men's and women's basketball games in the Ramsey Center. Only standard clear bags, 12-inches by 6-inches by 12-inches in size, small purses approximately 4.5-inches by 5-inches not including the strap, and clear gallon-size storage bags are permitted. Diaper bags (child must be present upon entry) and any medical-related bags will be allowed.
