Chandler's 21 Points Can't Ignite Hayesville's Offense Against the Bulldogs


In a showdown between two rivals, the Hayesville Yellow Jackets faced off against the Murphy Bulldogs on Tuesday, February 13th in Murphy. The Bulldogs emerged victorious with a final score of 63-46, successfully defending their home court.


Despite a valiant effort from the Yellow Jackets, led by standout performances from Isaac Chandler with 21 points, Slade Crouch with 9 points, and Asher Brown contributing 6, they were unable to overcome the determined Bulldogs.


The loss marked a challenging end to the regular season for Hayesville, bringing their overall record to 11-13 and leaving them with a winless conference record of 0-10 in the competitive Smoky Mountain Conference.


With their sights now set on the conference tournament, the Yellow Jackets will regroup and refocus their efforts in pursuit of postseason success. As of the time of writing, specific brackets and game times for the tournament were yet to be determined.
