CLAY COUNTY GOP CONVENTION UPDATE

The Clay County Republican Party will hold its Annual Precinct and County Conventions on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at the Beal Center in the restored upstairs courtroom of the Historic Clay County Courthouse on the square in downtown Hayesville.

Registration begins at 5:30 PM, with the Precinct Conventions convening at 6:00 PM to select Delegates to the County Convention, which convenes at 7:00 PM. The purpose of the Conventions is to elect County GOP Officers and Executive Committee members to new 2 year terms, as well as elect Delegates to the 11th District and State GOP Conventions for 2023.

There will be light refreshments, snacks, and desserts immediately following the Precinct Conventions (attendees are encouraged to bring a covered dish, snack, or dessert to share).

The County Convention begins at 7:00 p.m. Following the adjournment of the Convention, our featured speaker is 11th District GOP Congressman Chuck Edwards. Also, 2024 Lieutenant Governor candidate Hal Weatherman will address the attendees. Come join us to support your Clay County Republican party and meet these important Republican leaders.

All Republican voters registered in Clay County are invited to attend. However, only those Republicans registered on the Clay County Board of Election rolls as of January 31, 2023 are eligible to vote at the precinct or county conventions.
