Clay County Republicans: Save The Dates

Press Release

Our 2024 Election Events begin this Friday, February 9, when Lt. Governor candidate Allen Mashburn will be at the Clay County Republican headquarters from 3PM – 5PM for a meet and greet with Clay County voters.  Everyone is encouraged to stop by the headquarters in the Creekside Plaza next door to Anejos Restaurant to meet the candidate.  Also watch for additional meet and greet events at the headquarters as we are notified of candidates making a swing through our area.

The Western North Carolina GOP Coalition (District 11 GOP County Chairs}, and the Macon County GOP are hosting a major event on Saturday, February 10th in Franklin at Holly Springs Baptist Church, 10 AM to 4 PM.  See Flyer below for Registration info:

The February 15th Clay County GOP meeting features an array of Republican primary candidates for national, state, and local offices.  They will be speaking and mingling with attendees to share their thoughts and their platform focus.  Sample Clay County ballots will also be available for attendees to preview.

The meeting on Thursday, February 15 will be upstairs in the Community Services Building at 6:30 pm and is open to all Clay County Republicans and Unaffiliated voters.  Light refreshments, snacks, and desserts will begin the evening and attendees are encouraged to bring a covered dish, snack, or dessert to share. The business meeting will follow at 7:00 PM.

The Community Services Building is located at 25 Riverside Drive, Hayesville, NC 28904.

On Saturday, March 2, the Clay County Republican Party will host a Voting Machine Workshop at 10 AM, location to be announced.  This workshop will be presented by Kathy Maney, a Republican activist from Henderson County, and will run for approximately 2 hours.  Ms. Maney has presented her insights and views about Voting Machines to many North Carolina counties over the past year and we are excited to have her bring her informative, fun, and interactive workshop to Clay County.  There is no charge for the workshop, but we ask that you stop by headquarters and sign up so we can get an early idea of headcount (which will determine the size of facility we will need).

Finally, mark your calendar to “Save the Date” for the 2024 Clay County Republican Precinct / County Convention on March 21 at the Beal Center.  More information on this, and additional events will follow as the 2024 election year gets into full swing.

For additional information, contact the headquarters office at 828-541-3991 or Barbara Deas at 678-644-5561.
