Clay County Sheriff's Office Opens Applications for Citizens Academy


The Clay County Sheriff's Office is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for its upcoming Citizens Academy. This program, set to run from August 1st to September 12th, offers a unique opportunity for local residents to gain an in-depth understanding of the Sheriff's Office, Law Enforcement, and the operations of various divisions within the department.


Participants in the Citizens Academy will benefit from a comprehensive curriculum designed to educate and inform. Topics will include an overview of the Sheriff's Office, insights into the day-to-day responsibilities of law enforcement officers, and detailed explanations of how each division operates. This hands-on experience aims to foster a stronger relationship between the Sheriff's Office and the community it serves.


Interested individuals are encouraged to apply in person at the Clay County Sheriff's Office, located at 295 Courthouse Drive, conveniently situated between the Court House and the Health Department.
