Clayton State silences Young Harris

The Young Harris College men's soccer team fell 3-0 to Clayton State University Tuesday (Oct. 24) afternoon at Laker Field.

The Mountain Lions return to action Saturday, October 28th with a 4:30pm Conference Carolinas match against Belmont Abbey. YHC's seven seniors will be recognized prior to the match.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Emmanuel Alerte and Gio Rios each score a goal in the first half to put Clayton State up 2-0.

• Pato Padilla and Sergio Llopart each recorded three shots on goal.

• Hazma Zagmouzi, Thomas Kleinpenning, Quinn Thompson, and Ivar NaAga had one shot on goal apiece.

• Young Harris out-shot Clayton State 11-8 , and had a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.

• The Lakers scored the final goal in the second half.
