Dominant Vibe Sweep Thrill in Vegas

The Atlanta Vibe (13-4) took down the Vegas Thrill (5-11) Monday night in another three-set sweep – the Vibe’s league-leading seventh of the season. The win keeps the Vibe in the top spot of the Pro Volleyball Federation standings.


In a game of middle blockers, the Vibe came out ahead, with Atlanta’s Magdalena Jehlářová and Shelly Fanning combining to hit .515 with five blocks and four block touches. Another huge match from outside hitter Leah Edmond saw her finish with a team-high 12 kills and the only ace of the match.


Atlanta’s hitters were powered by setter Marlie Monserez, who ended the night with 34 assists, and set up by Libero Morgan Hentz who led the match with 15 digs.


The Vibe now head to San Diego to face the Mojo on Wednesday, April 10, and return for their next home match on Saturday, April 13 to celebrate ATL Day. Tickets for the ATL Day match and all remaining Vibe matches are available at



  • Atlanta remains at the top of the PVF rankings with the win with an 13-4 record.

  • The team’s seven sweeps are the most of any team in the league this year.

  • The Vibe are now 16-1 in sets decided by two points this season with the team’s 25-23 victory in the third frame on Monday.
