Fish fry a success for Towns County Sheriff's Office

Hundreds of Towns County residents attended a fish fry at The Retreat at Hiawassee River Tuesday evening to honor Sheriff Ken Henderson and the Towns County Sheriff Office and Detention Center.

The line for food was long but supporters were patient as they waited to dine on fresh mountain trout and hamburgers with Osborn Farms coming to the rescue to cook more burgers.

Sheriff Ken Henderson said he was honored and pleased with the huge turnout, as well as the commitment of both the Sheriff’s Office and community working together to make Towns County a safe place to live.
