Hayesville Scores Cross Country Win In Cherokee

Hayesville High School sent its cross country athletes to Cherokee on Wednesday, Sept. 6 to compete against other Smoky Mountain Conference schools. Once again, Hayesville showed why the Jacket cross country program has been a favorite in the conference for years. The Yellow Jackets stood atop the podium at evening's end, with yet another meet victory. As for the Lady Jackets, they too recorded a podium finish, taking third place. Those strong team finishes came as a result of solid individual performances.

Next up for Hayesville runners is a Sept. 16 meet hosted by Swain County High School.
