HHS athletes grab a pair of regional championships

Hayesville High School track and field athletes who qualified for the 1A West Regional finals loaded up on Saturday, May 14 and travelled to East Burk High School in Connelly Springs to compete. Hayesville competed in 21 events, coming home with several solid finishes, including two regional championships. Emma Shook took first place in the 300 meter hurdle event and Jake McTaggart stood in the top spot on the podium for the discus throw.

Qualifiers will travel to Greensboro on Saturday, May 21 to compete in the state championships.
