Selected Hayesville High School Chorus members recently participated in the NC High School All-State Chorus Festival in Charlotte, NC.

This is an annual event usually held in the Spring Semester that HHS chorus students have the honor of auditioning and getting selected to participate.

Along with other singers selected from across the entire state, these students must prepare songs for their choir, mostly prepared on their own time and in extra after-school practices with their choral director.

This year's All-State, sponsored by North Carolina Music Educators Association, featured three choirs. Hayesville had eight students selected and had student participants in all three choirs. Emma Buckner and Alex Perez participated in a SATB Mixed Choir for all voice parts. Lauren Gottlieb and Serina Penland joined a SSAA Choir for soprano and alto voices and Evin Fields, Tyler Hilton, Grant Hendrix and Chance Walker showed off their talents in a TTBB choir for tenor and Bass voices.
