As the campus undergoes significant construction, Hayesville Middle School (HMS) is implementing some important changes to ensure the safety and convenience of students, parents, and visitors. Over the next few days, HMS will be rolling out these adjustments, starting with the relocation of the main entrance.
Effective immediately, the regular main entrance to the school will be designated as a construction-only entrance. As a result, all students, parents, and visitors will now need to enter the school through the back side of the building. This new entrance can be accessed via the central office parking lot, which will also serve as the student drop-off point in the morning. The central office parking lot will continue to function as the car pick-up location in the afternoons, just as it has in the past.
To help everyone navigate this change smoothly, the school has added extensive signage around the campus. This relocated main entrance will remain in place for the entire duration of the construction project.
HMS encourages everyone to take advantage of the upcoming open house as an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the new entrance and flow of traffic. The school administration is committed to making this transition as seamless as possible and welcomes any questions or concerns from the community.
