Investigation Leads to Drug Arrest in Hiawassee

Recently, Towns County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into suspected drug activity in the Macedonia area of Hwy. 288.

During the investigation, a suspect was identified and found to be in possession of Methamphetamine. The Methamphetamine field-tested positive and was confiscated. This resulted in the arrest of Justin William Holloway, age 40, Blairsville.

Holloway was charged with: • Felony Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute • Felony Possession of Methamphetamine

He is currently being held in the Towns County Detention Center without bond.

Sheriff Ken Henderson states the Sheriff’s Office will continue to earnestly focus on drug areas.
