Jacket Nation sends athletes off in style

Yellow Jackets and their fans were buzzing outside The Hive Friday, May 20. The gathering was orchestrated to send off athletes who qualified for the NCHSAA track and field state championship meet which is to be held in Greensboro Saturday, May 21.

Lily Trout, Emma Shook, Madison Moore, Alyssa Rodd, Marley Espinal, Lila Roberts, Taylor McClure and Jake McTaggart loaded the east-bound bus along with the HHS coaching staff.

Clay County School students, Yellow Jacket fans and athletes' family members high-fived and waved to the group as they began their journey to represent Hayesville at the state level.
