Lady Jackets get win at home with strong defensive play

Following a slow start to the season, the varsity Lady Yellow Jackets were able to get in the win column thanks to a strong defensive game against Murphy. After allowing the Lady Bulldogs to score 10 points in the first quarter, Hayesville clamped down on the visitors. Murphy did not score again until the fourth quarter. It was too little too late and Jacket Nation celebrated Hayesville's 31-15 victory.
Now with a win under their belt, the Lady Jackets will look to make it two in a row on Friday, Dec. 16 when they travel to Bryson City to face the Lady Devils of Swain County High School.
