In an exhilarating girls' high school basketball matchup on Friday, January 5, the Hayesville Lady Yellow Jackets emerged victorious in a nail-biting contest against the Lady Black Knights of Robbinsville, securing a narrow 48-47 win. The closely contested game marked only the second loss of the season for the Lady Black Knights, making the victory even sweeter for the Lady Jackets.

The victory propelled the Hayesville Lady Yellow Jackets to an improved overall record of 9-4, with a strong 3-1 standing in the Smoky Mountain Conference.
