
In a dramatic turn of events this Monday afternoon, Bruce Douglas Partin, Jr., a 39-year-old trustee with the Towns County Sheriff's Office inmate work detail, absconded from his duty at the Towns County Transfer Station. The incident occurred around 2:30 pm local time off Hwy. 288, where Partin reportedly walked into nearby woods, evading authorities.
Partin, who was currently housed in the Towns County Detention Center awaiting court appearances, faces multiple charges including possession and distribution of marijuana, theft by taking, probation violation, and burglary. Despite immediate efforts by the Towns County Sheriff’s Office, which deployed drones and K9 units to track him, Partin has eluded capture.
Described as a 6 ft. 4 in. tall white male with brown hair and brown eyes, Partin was last seen in the wooded area near the Towns County Transfer Station wearing an orange jumpsuit. Authorities have announced a $500 reward for any information that leads to his arrest.
