Men’s Basketball Wraps Up Nonconference Schedule Against Toccoa Falls

The Western Carolina men’s basketball team closes out the nonconference portion of its schedule on Tuesday as the Catamounts host Toccoa Falls in a 2 p.m. matinee on Ingles Court at the Ramsey Center.
Tuesday’s game will be streamed on ESPN+ (paid subscription required) with live audio coverage on the Catamount Sports Network beginning at 1:30 p.m. Live stats will also be available on CatamountSports.com.
Once again this season, WCU Athletics has implemented a clear bag policy for all home men's and women's basketball games in the Ramsey Center. Only standard clear bags, 12-inches by 6-inches by 12-inches in size, small purses approximately 4.5-inches by 5-inches not including the strap and clear gallon-size storage bags are permitted. Diaper bags (child must be present upon entry) and any medical-related bags will be allowed.
The Catamounts are 6-6 following a 75-65 road win at Tennessee Tech on Saturday. Tyzhaun Claude scored a career-best 21 points in the win with 11 points coming at the free throw line. Vonterius Woolbright posted a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds, 10 of which came on the defensive glass. Tre Jackson finished in double figures with 15 points.
Toccoa Falls is 4-4 heading into a game at Pikeville (Ky.) on Monday afternoon. The Screaming Eagles have three players averaging double figures with Anthony Williams II scoring a team-best 27.5 points per game.
The teams have met six times previously dating back to 2001 with WCU winning all six matchups in Cullowhee. The most recent meeting came in the Ramsey Center in 2012.
WCU opens the Southern Conference portion of its schedule at home on Dec. 29 against UNCG at 2 p.m. The game will be streamed on ESPN+ (paid subscription required) with live audio coverage available on the Catamount Sports Network beginning at 1:30 p.m.
