Monthly GOP Meeting Features Guest Speaker Doug Atkins

The April Clay County GOP meeting on Thursday, April 18th, will be upstairs in the Community Services Building at 6:30 pm and is open to all Clay County Republicans and Unaffiliated voters.  Light refreshments, snacks, and desserts will begin the evening and attendees are encouraged to bring a covered dish, snack, or dessert to share. The business meeting will follow at 7:00 PM.

The featured speaker will be retired Secret Service and Federal Law Enforcement agent Doug Atkins, who will give a presentation on personal security and situational awareness.  Given the Democrats' policies on the "wide-open" Southern Border, with "Lord knows Who" coming across every day with no screening, plus their emphasis on "defunding Law Enforcement" and abolishing bail bond requirements, citizens are in greater personal danger than ever before.  Mr. Atkin's presentation could not be more timely.

Also speaking will be Ms. Kristy Parton, a Republican Attorney from Bryson City (Swain County) who is seeking to fill the District Judgeship vacated by Judge Tessa Sellers, a Clay County resident. Judge Sellers was recently appointed by Gov. Cooper as our resident Superior Court Judge for the 43A Judicial District, leaving her District Court Judgeship seat currently vacant.

The Community Services Building is located at 25 Riverside Drive, Hayesville, NC 28904.
