Young Harris College has earned the No. 4 seed in the upcoming Peach Belt Conference Baseball Tournament.

The top eight teams in the conference advanced to the 2022 Peach Belt Tournament, which will be played over two weekends. The tournament starts Saturday (May 7) with the best-of-three quarterfinal series hosted by the top four seeds. The winners of the four quarterfinal series will advance to a double-elimination bracket May 13-15 at the site of the highest remaining seed. The winner of the double-elimination bracket will earn the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Division II Tournament.

Young Harris (33-16) tied for third place in the league with a 17-10 conference ledger, but Georgia Southwestern State University (25-24) earned the No. 3 seed since the Hurricanes won two of three games from the Mountain Lions during the regular season. YHC, which won the 2019 PBC Baseball Tournament, will host No. 5 seed Flagler College (24-26) this weekend at Zell B. Miller Field. The best-of-three series gets underway Saturday (May 7) at 2 p.m., followed by game two Sunday (May 8) at 1 p.m. An if-necessary game would follow game two. The Saints took two of three games from the Mountain Lions back in March; however, Young Harris leads the all-time series with Flagler 13-6.

The other quarterfinals series will have No. 8 seed Lander University (22-27) at No. 1 seed Columbus State University (38-9), No. 7 seed University of South Carolina-Aiken (20-27) at No. 2 seed Georgia College (30-17), and No. 6 seed University of North Georgia (30-18) at No. 3 seed Georgia Southwestern State.
