Mountain Lions complete series sweep with 5-1 win over Augusta

The Young Harris College baseball team completed the weekend sweep of Augusta University with a 5-1 decision Sunday (Feb. 19) afternoon at Zell B. Miller Field.
The 30th-ranked Mountain Lions improved to 9-2 overall and to 3-0 in the Peach Belt Conference, while the Jaguars fell to 1-7 and 0-3. YHC returns to action Tuesday (Feb. 21) with a 2 p.m. encounter against Tusculum University in Greeneville, Tennessee.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
Brady Caloway (2-0) earned the win in relief for the Mountain Lions. Caloway allowed just two hits and struck out two over five innings of shutout baseball.
Marco Colina led off the bottom of the first with a double to right field. After Ethan Stamps and Drew Bray walked to load the bases. Ethan Underwood drove in a run on a ground out and Bray scored as part of a double steal.
Colina started a rally in the third inning with a leadoff single and then stole second. After a wild pitch moved him to third, Colina scored on a Bray ground out.
Bray led off the sixth with a triple to right-center and scored on Jarrett Ford's sacrifice fly to right.
The Mountain Lions scored their final run in the eighth on a RBI single by Underwood.
Colin and Bray each had two hits as the Mountain Lions had eight in the game.
