Mountain Lions Fall to Anderson University, 20-5

The Mountain Lions lost a tough battle to the Trojans of Anderson University on Saturday (Feb. 3) afternoon at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field. Young Harris was trailing by only four goals nearing the end of the first half, but in the second half of the game, the Trojans were in control the entire way; outscoring the Mountain Lions 11-1. 

The Mountain Lions fall to 0-1 on the year, while Anderson starts off the season 1-0. Young Harris returns to action next Saturday (Feb. 10) when they face Tusculum University in Greeneville, Tenn. 


  • Tommy Chriszt scored two goals for the Mountain Lions. 

  • Ben Soenen led Young Harris with nine ground ball pickups and four caused turnovers. 

  • Tristan Kirkham was the Trojans leading scorer with five goals. 

  • Dylan Wilbur recorded a game high eight saves for the Mountain Lions. 

  • YHC was out shot 54 to 24, and 32 to 14 in shots on goal.
