Young Harris, GA| The Mountain Lions women's lacrosse team fell to the Limestone University Saints on Tuesday (Feb. 13) evening at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field. YHC had the game within one goal as the first period came to a close, but as the game rolled on, Limestone University took control and won, 17-8.
Young Harris moves to 2-2 this season, while Limestone advances to 2-0. The Mountain Lions return to action on Sunday at 11 am, where they take on the University of Indianapolis at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
Ella Hancock led the Mountain Lions with three goals scored on four shots.
Reese Hjertaas scored four goals for the Saints on eight shots.
YHC Goal keepers Alyssa Rosenfeld and Abbie Gallagher were under heavy fire all game long, but they totaled 17 saves between the two, with Gallagher recording eight saves in just 21:59 of playing time.
Megan Davis and Joscelin Martin scored three goals each, but Davis ended with six total points on the day.
Young Harris was outshot by Limestone University, 46 to 18.
