Mountain Lions finish in third place at Bobcat Invitational

With two runners in the top 10, the Young Harris College women's cross country had their best finish since 2015 as the Mountain Lions came in third place at the Bobcat Invitational Saturday (Oct. 8) morning.
INSIDE THE RESULTS:
The Mountain Lions finished in third with 80 points, while the host school Georgia College won the meet with 23 points.
The finish was the best for the Mountain Lions since they finished in second place at 2015 Eye Opener Invitational.
The Mountain Lions had two runners in the top 10. Alison Markham came in sixth place with a time of 21:16.5 on the 5K Council Farms course. Caroline Conner placed ninth with an effort of 21:41.6.
Latty Ryals narrowly missed a top-20 finish as she came in 22nd with a time of 24:02.6, while Beth Moreland set a personal best with a time of 24:53.6 and came in 27th place.
Chayil Aponte came in 36th place with a time of 26:41.0 and Jessica Herrera posted a time of 28:05.4 and came in 45th.
The Mountain Lions return to action next Saturday (Oct. 15) at 10 a.m. as they compete at the Berry College Invitational in Mount Berry, Georgia.
