Mountain Lions rally past Golden Eagles 13-10

Young Harris College scored six of the final seven goals - including the final four - as the Mountain Lions recorded a 13-10 non-conference women's lacrosse victory over the University of Charleston (W.Va.) Monday (March 6) evening at Elliott FIeld.
The Mountain Lions improved to 4-4, while the Golden Eagles fell to 0-4. Young Harris returns to action Wednesday (March 8) with a noon match against Barton College in Wilson, North Carolina.

Young Harris scored the game's first three goals - Mary Troyer, Ashlyn Fraley and Ella Hancock - to open up a 3-0 lead.
Charleston fought back to take a 9-7 62 seconds in the third quarter, but the Mountain Lions got goals from Troyer and Fraley to knot the game at 9 with 5:26 left in the third period.
The Golden Eagles retook the lead at 10-9 four seconds into the fourth quarter, but the Mountain Lion defense stiffened and didn't allow another goal the rest of the game.
The Mountain Lions tied the game on Kinsley Purser's man-down goal with 10:40 remaining.
Fraley gave YHC the lead for good nearly three minutes later. Hancock and Ally Cattoni added insurance goals in the final five minutes.
Fraley led YHC with four goals, while Cattoni put three in the back of the net. Hancock and Troyer scored twice, while Purser and Morgan Lewis each scored once.
Hancock led the Mountain Lions with six draw controls, while Purser had five.
Purser corralled five ground balls, while Troyer and Suzanne Moore each scooped up four.
Purser forced three turnovers, while Cattoni and Riley Harris had two apiece.
Maddy Meyers and Abbie Gallagher had four saves in goal for the Mountain Lions.
