Mountain Lions release 2022 cross country schedules

Young Harris College men's and women's cross country coach Barry Brown unveiled the 2022 schedule for the Mountain Lions.
INSIDE THE SCHEDULE:
The Mountain Lions open their six-meet regular season schedule Sept. 2 when they compete in Eye Opener in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The race hosted by the University of South Carolina Upstate will be run at the Millken Research Park course, which hosted the NCAA Division II Southeast Regionals a year ago.
Young Harris will travel to Oakwood, Georgia, and the UNG Cross Country Course for the UNG Invitational a week later.
The Mountain Lions will return to action for two meets in the month of October. YHC will compete Oct. 8 at the Bobcat Invitational in Milledgeville, Georgia, and Oct. 15 at the Berry College Invitational in Mount Berry, Georgia.
With this being a fall festival year, the postseason slate will occur two weeks later than normal. The Peach Belt Conference Championships will be competed Nov. 5 at the Redcliffe Plantation in Beech Island, South Carolina with the NCAA Division II Southeast Regionals set for two weeks later. The regional host and location will be announced at a later date by the NCAA.
