The Young Harris College men's basketball team remained ranked 18th in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Rankings.

YHC, which is off to its best-ever start at 11-0, is one of five remaining unbeaten NCAA Division II institutions remaining.

The Mountain Lions recorded a 72-67 non-conference victory over the University of Virginia's College at Wise last week.

Young Harris, which is 2-0 in the Peach Belt Conference, is one of three Peach Belt institutions in this week's poll. Augusta University is ranked 10th, while the University of North Georgia is 22nd.

The Mountain Lions have two PBC contests this week. They will travel to Morrow, Georgia, for a 7:30 p.m. game against Clayton State University Wednesday (Jan. 4) before returning to the Harp Recreation & Commencement Center Saturday (Jan. 7) for a 3:30 p.m. encounter against No. 10 Augusta.

Men's basketball is the third YHC program to be nationally ranking this year, joining men's soccer and baseball.

The NABC poll is for publicity purposes only and is not used in the selection process for the NCAA Division II postseason.
