Mountain Lions tied for 11th place at Currahee Collegiate

The Young Harris College men's golf team is tied for 11th place after the opening round of the McCoy-Wright Currahee Collegiate Monday (Oct. 24) afternoon.


INSIDE THE ROPES:

  • The Mountain Lions shot 308 in the opening round on the par 72, 7,513-yard layout on the Currahee Golf Club.

  • Tournament co-host Anderson (S.C.) University leads the tournament with a score of 284, seven strokes ahead of the University of North Georgia.

  • Laurens Schulze-Doering was the top Mountain Lion golfer with a 74 and is in a tie for 20th place.

  • Isak Ljungkvist posted a 77 and is tied for 43rd place, while Ruben Lindstrom carded a 77 and is tied for 50th.

  • Jake Wehunt tallied a 79 and is tied for 54th, while Will Ranieri signed for an 85 and is in 76th place.

  • The second round was suspended due to darkness and will resume Tuesday (Oct. 25) at 9 a.m. followed by the scheduled third round.
