NCDIT Deputy Secretary Nate Denny Named to FCC’s Intergovernmental Advisory Committee

Nate Denny, deputy secretary for and digital equity for the N.C. Department of Information Technology, has been appointed to the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Intergovernmental Advisory Committee as the designee for Gov. Roy Cooper. This position is one of three state executive representatives appointed.


The advisory committee will make recommendations to the FCC on issues related to increasing deployment and adoption of high-speed internet service and other tasks necessary to help local, state and tribal government officials communicate commission rules and policies to their constituents and other members of the public. It is comprised of elected officials of municipal, county, state and tribal governments.


The committee is welcoming 30 new and returning members and will hold its first meeting on April 18.
