The final three rounds of women's action at the NCAA Championships will play out in consecutive days, with quarterfinal matches beginning on Friday before advancing teams compete in two semifinal matches on Saturday and the national championship match on Sunday.
Despite trailing the all-time series 22-6 against Stanford, Georgia heads into Friday's matchup with the most recent head-to-head victory coming in last season's 4-2 win over the Cardinal at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships. Both programs have gone back-and-forth in results over the last seven meetings (six in postseason play) with the Bulldogs earning four wins.
Both programs combine for 10 names in the latest ITA player rankings with seven Bulldogs highlighting the list.
For Georgia, Dasha Vidmanova leads the way in singles at No. 16 followed by Alexandra Vecic (No. 41), Mell Reasco (No. 65), Anastasiia Lopata (No. 70) and Mai Nirundorn (No. 87).
On the doubles side, the Bulldogs have two duos ranked in Aysegul Mert and Vidmanova (No. 14) and Guillermina Grant and Nirundorn (No. 55).
Under first-year head coach Drake Bernstein, Georgia will look to advance one round further in its pursuit for its third NCAA title and seventh national championship.
