Nominations for Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2022 being accepted until Aug. 1

The Young Harris College Athletics Hall of Fame is accepting nominations for the 2022 class of inductees.

The YHC Athletics Hall of Fame was established to honor individuals with outstanding athletic achievement and contribution to Young Harris College. Anyone can nominate deserving former student-athletes, teams, coaches, and major contributors of the program for induction. To be nominated as an athlete, a nominee must be a graduate of Young Harris College or have played at least two years must have been an outstanding performer in his/her field of competition. and must have been recognized locally, regionally or nationally. Eligibility for selection begins in the seventh year after the nominee's college athletics career has ended.

To be nominated as a coach, a nominee must have demonstrated outstanding coaching achievement at Young Harris or another institution for at least five years, must have been recognized locally, regionally or nationally, and can be selected from coaching at another institution if they are a former athlete at Young Harris and have demonstrated outstanding coaching achievement at other institution for at least five years.

All nominations received by Aug. 1 will be considered for the 2022 class which will be honored this fall.
