Political leaders comment on the Texas school shooting

President Joe Biden on Tuesday ordered that the flags at the White House, federal buildings and military posts be flown at half-staff for the victims of a deadly shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas.

On Tuesday, May 25, an armed madman entered Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, TX and opened fire, killing 19 students and 2 staff members before being killed by police.

As the country mourned in shock, political leaders began to weigh in on the tragedy on social media. Some posted messages of sorrow and support for the victims and their families, while others promoted political agendas.
