Post-Season Awards Revealed

The 2023 volleyball season was an emotional roller coaster for the varsity Lady Yellow Jacket team. The Lady Jackets ended the season 9-14 overall and 4-6 in the Smoky Mountain Conference. Highlights for the season include wins over Swain and rival Murphy. The season came to an end in round 1 of the NCHSAA championship tournament as former SMC foe Rosman eliminated the Lady Jackets.

That loss was not the final news for Hayesville as the conference has released its list of post-season awards, three of which go to Lady Jackets.

While senior Lily Trout will be missed, having the remaining players return next season gives Jacket Nation a reason to be excited. Add to that roster the players who will move up from a very talented JV team and Hayesville could very well be the team to beat in the SMC in 2024.
