Saints defeat Mountain Lions 10-3 in series finale

Flagler College used a five-run sixth inning en route to a 10-3 Peach Belt Conference baseball victory over Young Harris College Sunday (March 19) afternoon at Drysdale Field.
The Saints improved to 6-19 overall and to 2-10 in the PBC, while the Mountain Lions fell to 19-8 and 10-5. The Mountain Lions travel to Harrogate, Tennessee, for a 4 p.m. non-conference game against Lincoln Memorial University.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
Marco Colina doubled down left field line in the fourth and came around to score on Steven Spell's two-run homer to left-center field in the fourth inning to pull the Mountain Lions within a run at 3-2. It was Spell's third homer of the season.
The other run for the Mountain Lions also came off the long ball as Jeremy Begora led off the eighth inning to left field. It was Begora's team leading fifth homer of 2023.
The Mountain Lions collected 12 hits, including a 4-for-5 day from Ethan Underwood. Begora and James Basham also had two hits apiece.
Starter Cole Edwards (1-1) took the loss for Young Harris.
