Sixteen Sweet for Sellers Against Swain

On Tuesday, March 19, the Hayesville Yellow Jackets welcomed the Maroon Devils from Swain County to a very smoky field. The cloud in the sky was matched by the smoke from the mound for the Yellow Jackets as pitcher Jackson Sellers led the Jackets to a 3-0 victory.

"He needs to turn 16 more often," head coach and Jackson's dad Joe Jack said jokingly after the game. "That was a big win for us. Great to see our guys hunker down and hang on there."

Inside the Game

Jackson Sellers: 3-3, 2 RBI, double. 7 innings pitched, 3 hits, 0 runs, 4 walks, 6 strikeouts

Kyle Shaheen: 1-1, RBI

Michael Mauney: 2-2, double, run scored

Tate Roberts: 2-2, 2 runs scored.

Hayesville looks to improve on it's 3-2 record when Union County, GA comes to town Wednesday, March 20. First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.
