TCSO works with citizens to grow Neighborhood Watch program

On Wednesday, March 22, the Towns County Sheriff’s Office met with members of the Enchanted Valley Community in Hiawassee to assist them in becoming involved with Towns County Sheriff’s Office Neighborhood Watch Program.
Sheriff Ken Henderson spoke to the group about recent accomplishments in the Sheriff’s Office and ongoing initiatives, well as the continuing war on drugs that are being funneled through and sold within Towns County. Chief Deputy Gene Moss spoke about the newest, and most dangerous, drug which has now appeared in 48 states named Tranq.
Community Relations Coordinator Jill Gittens explained the Neighborhood Watch program to the residents and how Towns County Sheriff’s Office will be involved with their community, as well as many services offered through the Office, such as the anonymous tip line and extra patrol requests.
Sheriff Ken Henderson stated it was a pleasure to meet with Enchanted Valley residents and to learn the needs of their community.
