Towns County man arrested on drug charges

After receiving information on suspected drug activity in the Bald Mountain Park area, Towns County Sheriff’s Office Investigators conducted an investigation in May resulting in a warrant for the arrest of Levi James Peterson, age 39 of Hiawassee, GA.
Drug investigators located Peterson on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at the Dollar General in Young Harris and was charged with the Sale of Methamphetamine.
Sheriff Ken Henderson is pleased with the Investigators for their commitment in following up this drug information.
Sheriff Henderson said that “Drug investigations in Bald Mountain Park is ongoing and will continue”.
