Training Continues For Sheriff's Office

Tonight, April 10th, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting the second of two nights of low light training on county property located near the Clay County Transfer Station. Residents may hear high volumes of gunfire after it is dark.

Low light training is imperative for officers to learn as most law enforcement shootings occur at night. This training is infrequent and will be concluded as soon as the training objectives have been achieved. Once this training is complete there are no more training dates currently scheduled which would require night fire exercises
