On September 16th, Towns County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Drug Investigators received reliable information in reference to drug activity at a residence on Konahetah Road in Hiawassee.
During the investigation, probable cause was developed and a search of the residence and person was conducted, resulting in the confiscation of an amount of Methamphetamine which field tested positive.
Sharon Lynn Allman, age 40, Hiawassee GA was arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine.
Information received from the investigation and arrest of Allman resulted in drug Investigators obtaining a search warrant for a residence at 7364 Highway 76, Hiawassee.
As a result of the search, an amount of Methamphetamine was confiscated along with a Schedule III Controlled Substance.
Evidence shows that the individual was selling and distributing Methamphetamine and other controlled substance throughout Towns County.
Amanda Marie Lester, age 38, Young Harris was arrested and charge with:
• Felony Possession of Methamphetamine
• Felony Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute
• Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute
Sheriff Ken Henderson commends the patrol deputies and drug investigator working together to impact drug sales and distribution in our community.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
