Key Quotes

Head Coach Tony Baldwin

On the team's performance tonight...

"I thought we played a clean game. I liked the way that we controlled the ball well in the circle. I thought we played really good defense. Ellie [Armistead’s] stop there in the five/six hole early in the game was a huge play; kept them off the board and allowed us to get going. And then that second time through the order -- I thought we had a lot of good at-bats the first time through the order, but the second time -- we started to capitalize on them. Sara Mosley with the big hit there kind of got us off and rolling, but proud of the way that we strung together some at-bats, we still didn't execute situationally on offense as well as I would like. But we'll keep working at it. Back at 'em tomorrow."

On the importance of the crowd this weekend after two straight away series...

"Oh, man, it is huge! Playing on the road in the SEC is tough sledding. We've carried that burden for two weeks in a row, and we've had some tough games there. Getting back and getting the energy of our place and our people and, you know, looking to get on a good streak against a really good Missouri team. We're gonna come and have to fight like heck and play well to get the outcomes that we want, but we're looking forward to being home for sure. "
