The Clay County Republican Party will host its 2024 Fall Picnic and Candidates Rally at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28th, at the Lions Club Pavilion in the Clay County Recreational Park on Lake Chatuge.
Republican and unaffiliated voters will have the opportunity to meet and get to know more about our Republican candidates in the November election. Candidates for Federal, State and local offices will be in attendance.
Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided by the Clay GOP, and attendees are requested to bring a side dish or dessert to share. This is always a fun event, and this year's event will feature live music, and a silent auction fundraiser, along with the drawing for winner of this year’s rifle raffle.
As is customary, the Sept. 28th Picnic and Rally will be held in place of the normal monthly meeting on the third Thursday evening of the month (i.e., Sept. 19th); NO meeting this coming Thursday evening.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 5TH CARAVAN & ROAD RALLY
On Saturday, Oct. 5, we are asking Clay County Republicans to join us for a district-wide caravan and road rally. This will be a fun day in which the 16 individual county Republican Parties in the 11th District GOP will join with their neighboring GOP county organizations to caravan with their decorated vehicles to a rally at Ghost Town in Maggie Valley, NC.
At Ghost Town, we will meet up with the caravans from the other counties in District 11, and there will be live music, candidate speakers, and a good time for all at the rally site. On our route we will be joined here in Hayesville by Cherokee County, then jointly caravan over to join with the Macon County group, followed by Jackson County and Haywood County as we make our way to Maggie Valley. We would like to end up with over 100 vehicles in our caravan by the time we approach Ghost Town.
A sign-up sheet is available at the Clay County GOP headquarters in Creekside Plaza, located between Anejo’s and Hayesville Grill.
We will leave Hayesville at 9 a.m. More information will be provided at time of sign-up. It should be a fun day, a great display of patriotism, and support for President Trump and other GOP candidates. Just think of the look on the Democrats' faces as they see over 100 cars and trucks going down the highway flying Trump and US flags!
